The LASEMA Public Relations Officer, Nosa Okunbor, who made this known in a statement, said that the accident involved a White Toyota Coaster bus with registration number KJA-380-XV which collided with a parked Lagos State BRT bus with registration number AGL938-YD while on motion resulting in significant damage and injuries.

Okunbor said the Toyota Coaster bus blindsided a parked BRT in an attempt to overtake a car while headed inward Iyana Oworo.

“Four injured people, comprising 2 males and 2 females, (driver inclusive), suffered severe injuries. Fortunately, no fatalities were recorded in the incident,” the statement added.

The LASEMA spokesperson added that the Toyota Coaster bus was severely damaged.

According to Okunbor, the recovery operation was coordinated by the agency’s LRT, adding that the LRT extricated the trapped passengers.

Okunbor added that the injured victims were administered pre-hospital care treatment by the agency’s Paramedics and LASAMBUS before being evacuated to nearby government owned hospitals.

“The white coaster bus was subsequently towed to Iyana-Oworo and handed over to the police,” Okunbor said.
