Trump Urges U.S. Republican Party To Donate To Democrats, Help Kamala Harris Camp Pay Off $20Million Campaign Debt

United States President-elect, Donald Trump has encouraged the Republican party to donate to the rival Democrats to help the party recover from its “financial strain” following the general elections.

Trump disclosed this known in a post X on Sunday, noting that the Democrats, despite raising a record amount of money during the 2020 Presidential Election, did not have much left

Trump stated that the Democrats are being squeezed by vendors and others.

He wrote, “I am very surprised that the Democrats, who fought a hard and valiant fight in the 2020 Presidential Election, raising a record amount of money, didn’t have lots of $’s left over.

“Now they are being squeezed by vendors and others. Whatever we can do to help them during this difficult period, I would strongly recommend we, as a Party and for the sake of desperately needed UNITY, do.”

“We have a lot of money left over in that our biggest asset in the campaign was ‘Earned Media,’ and that doesn’t cost very much. MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN!” he added.

Harris’ campaign raised more money than her Trump during the 2024 presidential election, taking in over $1 billion in the less than four months following President Joe Biden’s withdrawal from the race.

Despite the massive funds raised by the Democrats, Vice President Harris lost to Trump in the presidential election. Furthermore, her campaign ended up $20 million in debt, highlighting the immense financial challenges faced by her team.
