Victor Osimhen Parts Ways with Agent Roberto Calenda Amid Transfer Dispute

Naples, Italy – Nigerian striker Victor Osimhen has reportedly dismissed his agent, Roberto Calenda, following dissatisfaction with how his recent transfer situation was handled. According to reports from Il Mattino (via TMW), Osimhen was frustrated with Calenda’s perceived incompetence during negotiations, which saw potential moves to major clubs like Al Ahli and Chelsea fall through on deadline day.

The striker, who currently plays for Serie A side Napoli, took matters into his own hands and is believed to have negotiated a loan move to Turkish club Galatasaray without an agent. The deal, facilitated by Turkish intermediary George Gardi, is a straightforward loan that will last until the end of the season, with a break clause allowing for a move to a top European club in January should an opportunity arise.

Osimhen’s decision to part ways with Calenda comes after widespread criticism on social media directed at the agent for his role in the failed transfers. The striker’s move to Galatasaray marks a significant turn in his career, as he seeks to maintain form and visibility in European football while exploring better opportunities in the near future.
