Terrorists Attack El-Rufai Estate in Abuja

Abuja, Nigeria — Some terrorists suspected to be kidnappers causing mayhem in the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja, have attacked the El-Rufai Estate in Bwari Area Council. The incident occurred in the early hours of Wednesday when the assailants invaded the area, shooting sporadically.

News360 Nigeria gathered that a man simply identified as Nathaniel was reportedly shot by the gunmen, who then engaged operatives of the FCT Police Command in a fierce gun duel.

The Police Public Relations Officer of the FCT Command, Josephine Adeh, confirmed the incident, stating, “Yes, it is true.”

Reports indicate that the kidnappers attempted to abduct many residents before the police operatives successfully foiled their operation. The gunfight between the operatives and the criminal elements reportedly lasted about 30 minutes.
