On Monday, January 20, 2025, at approximately 11 p.m., the pastors were returning from the crusade field when the terrorists ambushed them along the Ejule-Ofakaga-Anyigba Road.
At Ejule in Kogi State’s Ofu Local Government Area, three pastors have been kidnapped by gunmen who are thought to be abductors.
According to Daily Trust, the incident happened soon after they served at a town crusade that was still going on.
On Monday, January 20, 2025, at approximately 11 p.m., the pastors were returning from the crusade field when the terrorists ambushed them along the Ejule-Ofakaga-Anyigba Road.
Evangelist Sunday Oguche, president of God’s Care Missions, Okpo, organized the three-day “Ejule Gospel Crusade,” where one of the kidnapped pastors, identified as Evangelist Gabriel Onaji, served as a guest minister.
The kidnappers seemed to be targeting evangelist Sunday Oguche. If the missionary hadn’t chosen to spend the night at Anyigba rather than Ejule, he would have been abducted, according to a source.
Later, their car was discovered abandoned on the Ejule-Anyigba road near the community of Ofakaga.
Ayefu John, a local who was at the crusade and knows one of the pastors who was kidnapped, said that the kidnappers have demanded a N20 million ransom to free them.
Williams Aya, the spokesperson for the Kogi State Police Command, told SaharaReporters he was not aware of the event but will check in with the division to get more information.
