Technical Issues Plunge Abuja, Lagos into Power Outage

Due to technical issues, some villages in Nasarawa, Lagos, and Abuja are currently without power.

Significant load constraints across many of its transmission load centers were the cause of the service disruption, according to the Ikeja Electricity Distribution Company on Tuesday.

The transmission stations that are impacted, according to the electricity distribution company, are Oworo, Maryland, Itire, Isolo, Ogba, Alausa, Ejigbo, Alimosho, and others.

Significant load restrictions across several of our transmission load centers are the cause of the present service outage you are experiencing. These restrictions are especially affecting:

The following transfer stations: Oworo, Maryland, Itire, Isolo, Ogba, Alausa, Ejigbo, Alimosho, Ilupeju, and Ayobo.

“We are sorry if this has inconvenienced you. The Ikeja DisCo stated, “We are currently working with pertinent stakeholders to restore normal operations.

Similarly, windstorms brought down transmission lines, and the Abuja Electricity Distribution Company told its Nasarawa clients they were without power.

A technical issue was also reported to be the cause of the darkness in various FCT districts.

Residents of the following Nasarawa State communities are notified: Uke, Gidan Zakara, Gora, Auta-Baleifi, Tukur Farm, CS Farm, Masaka, Keffi GRA, Luvu, Dunamis Community 1&2, Dadin Kowa, Keffi, and the surrounding areas. Strong winds have damaged the power lines in these areas, resulting in the current power outage.
