Senate To FG: Stop Any Plans Of Increase In Electricity Tariff

The Senate has urged the Federal Government to suspend any intentions to raise electricity tariffs in Nigeria. This stance was adopted during a resolution passed at a plenary session in Abuja. The Senate, often referred to as the Red Chamber, expressed concern that Nigerians are already enduring hard times, and any increase in electricity tariffs would only add to their financial strain. Additionally, the Senate decided to investigate the N2 trillion that the government claims as the expense of funding subsidies.
