APC Chieftain Joe Igbokwe Urges President Tinubu to Review New Electricity Tariff Amid Concerns for Business Survival

Surulere, Lagos – A chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Joe Igbokwe, has raised concerns over the new electricity tariff in Nigeria, urging President Bola Tinubu to address the issue promptly.

In a Facebook post on Saturday, Igbokwe, a notable supporter of Tinubu’s presidency, expressed alarm that the new tariff is severely impacting businesses. He revealed that N20,000 worth of electricity units now lasts only a single day, which he believes could jeopardize business operations if not urgently reviewed.

Igbokwe described his experience with a small office in Surulere, Lagos, which previously used to buy over 300 units for N20,000 but now finds that amount of electricity exhausted within just one day. He called for a reassessment of the new tariff, citing the need for immediate government intervention to prevent detrimental effects on businesses across the country.
