R Kelly Finally Appeals 30-year Jail Sentence

R Kelly filed an appeal with a New York court to get his 2022 30-year racketeering sentence revoked.

Following a well-publicized trial in New York in 2021, the R&B artist, whose real name is Robert Sylvester Kelly, was found guilty of racketeering and trafficking.

Years of accusations throughout his career preceded it.

Regarding the obscene photos of children and the enticement of children in Chicago last year, he was sentenced to an extra year in jail.

Kelly, who was not present at the appeal, claims he violated other women or that the prosecution was unable to support their allegation of racketeering.

He claims the jury was “swamped,” his lawyer gave poor advice, and multiple jurors assumed he was guilty, depriving him of a fair trial.
