Police Foil Attempt to Overthrow Tinubu, Offer N20m Reward for Briton and Nigerian Involved

Police Offer N10 Million Reward for Information Leading to the Arrest of Wanted British National Andrew Wynne

Abuja, Nigeria – The Nigerian Police Force has announced a reward of N10 million for any individual who provides information leading to the arrest of Andrew Wynne, also known as Andrew Povich or Drew Povey, a British national declared wanted on Monday. The police have also declared Lucky Ehis Obinyan wanted in connection with serious criminal charges.

According to a Special Police Gazette Bulletin shared with journalists at Force Headquarters and obtained by Daily Trust, Wynne and Obinyan are accused of terrorism financing, treasonable felony, cybercrime, subversion, and criminal conspiracy.

The police have urged anyone with information on the whereabouts of Wynne or Obinyan to contact the nearest police station or reach out to the Department of Force Intelligence at Force Headquarters, Abuja, through the provided contact numbers. The bulletin emphasized that a reward of N10 million is available for information leading to the arrest of each individual.

Force spokesman Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP) Olumuyiwa Adejobi revealed that the police are conducting a comprehensive investigation into how foreign mercenaries and subversive elements allegedly conspired to overthrow the democratically-elected government in Nigeria. Adejobi disclosed that Andrew Wynne rented a space at Labour House, Abuja, under the guise of running an ‘Iva Valley Bookshop’ and established ‘STARS of Nations Schools’ as a front for his activities.

The police allege that Wynne provided financial and operational support to orchestrate unconstitutional regime change in Nigeria and was directly involved in issuing directives and monitoring the progress of protests in August aimed at destabilizing the government.

The police are urging the public to be vigilant and assist in the efforts to apprehend Wynne and Obinyan to ensure the security and stability of the country.
