Nigerians Now Able to Correct NIN Record Errors via Their Phones

Before now, Nigerians went through the hassle of traveling to any National Identity Management centers close to them to be able to correct mistakes in their biodata on their records with the commission.

Often times, they will have to queue up for hours before they are able to access a customer care representative, who may, at the end of the day, ask them to go and come back.

These have continued for years.

However, the good news is that, the commission has launched a mobile application on which Nigerians and others who want to correct mistakes in their data can now do so from the comfort of their homes.

The commission made this known via its official X account.

See the statement below:

Good news!!! You no longer have to go to a NIN enrolment center to modify your NIN record. You can modify your date of birth, name, address, email, and phone number on the NIMC SELF-SERVICE APP. What are you waiting for???
