A television drama series called “Hidden Riches” will debut on January 25 as part of the Nigerian government’s plan to raise awareness and promote growth in the mining industry.
Raising awareness of the industry’s potential and vital part in Nigeria’s efforts to diversify its economy is the series’ main goal. The government hopes to inform and amuse viewers while highlighting potential in the solid minerals industry through Hidden Riches.
In a statement released Tuesday in Abuja by his Special Assistant on Media, Segun Tomori, Minister of Solid Minerals Development Dr. Dele Alake disclosed the information.
With Bem Pever and Nwamaka Chikezie as its directors and Take 7 Media as its producer, the series will formally launch on January 25, 2025, from 8:05 to 8:30 p.m. local time.
“It will be broadcast on the Nigerian Television Authority’s (NTA) Network Service every Saturday,” Dr. Alake stated.
He said the show would have an amazing cast, including Alex Jibrin, Sydney Diala, Lara Owoeye-Wise, and Iveren Antiev.
Wealth from Minerals
“The series aims to reveal the intricate relationships between ambition, power, and politics in relation to the country’s enormous mineral wealth,” the Minister said.
He emphasized how crucial the show is to showing how Nigeria’s mining industry has the ability to be a major force behind economic change.
“The compelling plot traces the interwoven lives of miners, politicians, activists, and common people as they negotiate obstacles and opportunities in order to unlock the hidden riches beneath the country’s soil,” the minister stated.
Through its compelling story, “Hidden Riches” emphasizes how solid minerals can be a game-changing substitute for resource management and sustainable economic growth.
In order to diversify Nigeria’s economy, President Bola Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda was in line with the series, Dr. Alake explained.
He claimed that by highlighting the prospects in the solid minerals industry, the series’ gripping story would inspire people to take part in creating a sustainable future.
