Renowned Nigerian statesman and leader of the Pan Niger Delta Forum (PANDEF), Chief Edwin Kiagbodo Clark, has passed away at the age of 97.
His demise was announced in a statement signed by Prof. C. C. Clark for the family and Mr. Penawei Clark for the children, confirming that he passed away on Monday, February 17, 2025.

Chief Clark was a respected elder statesman, nationalist, and advocate for the rights of the Niger Delta region. His contributions to Nigerian politics, regional development, and resource control advocacy spanned decades, earning him recognition as one of the most influential voices in the country’s political landscape.
