Governor Dikko Radda of Katsina State praised the work of the state’s security agents, the civilian JTF, and the Community Watch Corps, saying their performance is encouraging.
Over the course of the last two weeks, the Community Watch Corps, a local vigilante group that the Katsina State Government formed, has slain over 200 robbers.
In addition, they have freed other individuals who were being held captive by the bandits.
This was said in a statement released on Sunday by Nasiru Mu’azu, the Katsina State Commissioner for Home Affairs and Internal Security.
According to him, the Community Watch Corps and the civilian JTF, with the help of security personnel, are making significant progress and winning more battles against banditry in Katsina.
