The Kebbi State branch of the National Association of Nigerian Nurses and Midwives (NANNM) has extended warm Sallah greetings to nurses and midwives across the state, recognizing their selfless dedication to community healthcare.

In a Sallah message, the state chairman of NANNM, Comrade Kilani Abdulwaliyu, lauded the unwavering commitment of nurses and midwives who tirelessly serve in various health facilities across Kebbi.

“You have devoted your lives to providing quality healthcare to millions in Kebbi State. We cannot thank you enough for your support, which has made the progress of our association possible. We celebrate you this Sallah and hope you marked the occasion in good health,” Abdulwaliyu stated.

Praise for Gov. Nasir Idris’ Healthcare Initiatives

Comrade Abdulwaliyu also commended the Governor of Kebbi State, Dr. Nasir Idris, for his proactive approach to improving healthcare delivery, particularly in enhancing the welfare of health workers.

“Governor Idris has made remarkable strides in improving the pay packages of nurses and midwives, ensuring better working conditions for them. However, I appeal to the government to immediately incorporate nursing graduates into the new salary structure to further strengthen healthcare services in the state,” he urged.

Commitment to Nurses’ Welfare

The union leader reassured NANNM members that their rights and welfare would remain a top priority. He also encouraged them to remain dedicated and professional in their duties to justify the improved conditions they now enjoy.

With the government’s continued support and the commitment of healthcare workers, Kebbi State’s healthcare sector is poised for further growth and efficiency.
