Samha M. Inuwa, a well-known Kannywood actress, has been barred from acting for a year by the Kano State Censorship Board.

The ban, according to the board, came after individuals voiced their concerns regarding her “revealing dress and provocative videos.”

According to a statement released by the Kano State Censorship Board’s Information Officer, Abdullahi Sani Sulaiman, Samha has received numerous warnings on her “crude dressing, vulgar displays, and language in her some videos.”

The board emphasized that the actress had transgressed moral and cultural norms with her actions.

Along with the suspension, the board also stopped censoring any movies in which Samha starred and cancelled her license.

“Kano State Censorship Board is empowered by law to ensure that all videos, writings, and other forms of expression align with the state’s religion, culture, norms, and values,” the statement read.

The suspension, according to the board, is a component of the board’s continuous efforts to enforce its rules and maintain moral standards in the Kannywood film sector.
