Gwagwalada, FCT – A 31-year-old man, identified as Ajayi Nicholas, reportedly slumped and died inside a sex worker’s room at a hotel in New Kutunku, Gwagwalada Area Council, causing confusion in the community.
Sources said the incident happened around 5 p.m. on Saturday when Nicholas checked into the hotel. A resident, Josiah Gabriel, told reporters that the deceased collapsed as he was about to leave the room, prompting the woman to alert the hotel manager.
The manager, who recognized Nicholas, immediately informed his family members residing in the area. He was rushed to a nearby hospital, where he was confirmed dead.
Following the incident, police officers visited the scene for investigation and later deposited the corpse at the mortuary after an autopsy. Meanwhile, the sex worker was taken into custody for questioning.
A police officer, who spoke anonymously, confirmed the incident but declined to provide further details on the ongoing investigation.
