Man Arrested for Allegedly Stealing ‘Fufu’ Along with Pot of Soup, Noodles

Ojo Monday, a 20-year-old man from Ekiti State, was charged with breaking into and stealing from a property before an Ado-Ekiti Chief Magistrates’ Court.

It was discovered that the complainant had some noodles, maggi spices, salt, onions, “fufu,” and a pot of soup, all of which were valued at N300,000.

According to The Bureau Newspaper, the incident occurred on Thursday, March 14 at around midday along Falegan, Ilawe Road in Ado-Ekiti.

But the accused refuted the allegations.

According to Inspector Moyosola Adesola, the police prosecutor, the offenses violated Sections 322 and 302(1) (a) of the Ekiti State 2021 Criminal Laws.

The defendant’s attorney, Olayinka Opaleke, pleaded with the judge to give the accused person bail.

The matter was postponed till April 23 for a hearing, and in the meantime, Chief Magistrate Mrs. Taiwo Ajibade granted the defendant bail in the amount of N50,000 with one surety in the same amount.
