Libya Police Arrest 18 Nigerians, Nigeriens, Including A Child

The Libya Police Intervention and Control Force has arrested undocumented Nigerian nationals and Nigeriens, including eight men, nine women, and one child.

It was gathered that the operation was conducted following reports received by authorities about the presence of undocumented nationals in Ghanima.

According to a statement from Migrant Rescue Watch on X, undocumented nationals apprehended during the raid were transferred to the Ghanima Police Department for processing.

The statement reads, “Police Intervention and Control Force in response to report carried out raid on a house in Ghanima area and apprehended 17 undocumented #migrants (8 men, 9 women and 1 child) of Nigerien and Nigerian nationalities.”

“All transferred to Ghanima Police Dept. pending referral to Illegal Immigration Prosecution in Al-Khums,” the statement said.
