A young woman has been arrested for allegedly poisoning her boyfriend to death in what many believe was a gruesome act of revenge over infidelity. The incident occurred in the Iyo Polo community, where the couple lived together.
According to community sources, the woman reportedly discovered her boyfriend was cheating and, in a cold and calculated move, allegedly laced his food or drink with poison. After watching him die, she is said to have dragged his lifeless body under the bed—where it remained hidden for three days.
Suspicion began to grow among neighbors as a foul odor started to emanate from the apartment. Concerned about the man’s sudden silence and the unbearable stench, neighbors attempted to contact him, but to no avail. Their worry deepened when the woman began exhibiting unusual behavior—refusing to open the door, acting withdrawn, and keeping to herself.
The matter reached a breaking point when neighbors alerted the police. Officers who arrived at the scene were met with a harrowing sight.
“When officers forced their way into the apartment, they were hit by the stench and the shocking sight of the decomposing body hidden beneath the bed,” a police source told The Bureau.
