Labour Party Candidate, Olumide Akpata, Defeated in His Polling Unit

Benin City, Nigeria – The Labour Party’s gubernatorial candidate, Olumide Akpata, has faced defeat in his own polling unit during the Edo State gubernatorial election.

At Polling Unit 11, Oredo Ward 06, the results are as follows:

  • PDP (Asuenime Ighodalo): 41 votes
  • LP (Olumide Akpata): 32 votes
  • APC (Monday Okpebholo): 19 votes

Despite a strong campaign, Akpata was unable to secure a win in his local unit. The results are still being uploaded and finalized by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).
