In preparation for the upcoming Kogi State governorship election scheduled for November 11, the Accord Party has officially announced the members of its campaign council. In a statement released by Alhaji Abu Fab Zakari, who serves as the Secretary of the Campaign Council, the campaign has been titled the “Jibrin/Olamife Governorship Campaign Council” and carries the theme of “Council of Victory for the Masses.” Senator Nicholas Yahaya Ugbane has been appointed as the Chairman of this campaign council.
This council includes various prominent individuals who will play key roles in the campaign. Sen. Abubakar Abdularahman will serve as the Alternate Chairman, and Alhaji Abu Fab Zakari will act as the Secretary of the Campaign Council. Other notable appointments include Daniel Isah (Prof) as the Campaign Director General, Hon. Yakubu Ogwu Daniel as the Deputy Director General for Kogi East, and Barr. Fadile Kabiru as the Deputy Director General for Kogi West.
Furthermore, the campaign council boasts representation from various federal constituencies, with individuals such as Hon. Hassan Omale, Hon. Positive Ihiabe, Hon. Umane Okeme, and Hon. Aka’aba Ibrahim, demonstrating a strong regional focus.
The council also recognizes the importance of gender and youth representation in the political landscape. Princess Vera Otini Atodo, Josephine Ayeh Joseph, and Lami Ahmodu are prominent women leaders within the council, while the youth segment is well-represented by Hon. Husseini Idris, Comrade Ahmed Ibrahim Dangana, and Comrade Honorius Aromeh.
Various roles related to protocol, media, strategy, and welfare have been entrusted to individuals with expertise in their respective fields, such as Emmanuel Iyede, Endurance Mona Samuel, Godwin Enemali, Freeman Samuel, Goodman Akuh, and Samuel Danjuma. Additionally, the team includes individuals assisting with conventional media assignments, special duties, and contact and mobilization, including Christopher Sunday, Amb. Muhammed Jibrin, and RT. Hon. Emmanuel Omebije.
Alhaji Abu Fab Zakari, who serves as the Secretary of the Campaign Council, emphasized the importance of every team member’s role and urged a dedicated and responsible approach to fulfilling their respective tasks.
The unveiling of the Jibrin/Olamife Campaign Council marks a significant step in the commencement of the campaign by the Accord Party, whose candidate for the Kogi State governorship election is Vice Admiral (rtd) Jibrin Usman.
