Kogi Deputy Governor’s Eid al-Fitr Message: A Call for Unity, Respect, and Progress

As the holy month of Ramadan comes to an end, I extend my heartfelt greetings to my Principal, His Excellency Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo, the Advance New Direction Government, and all residents of Kogi State, particularly the Muslim Ummah, on the auspicious occasion of Eid al-Fitr 2025.

I commend the dedication and spiritual commitment of Muslims in Kogi State and across Nigeria for successfully completing this sacred journey of fasting, prayer, and charitable acts in devotion to the Divine Will. May the Almighty Allah accept your sacrifices and grant you His boundless blessings, leading to a future of prosperity, peace, and fulfillment.

This season is a time of renewal—a moment for reflection on the profound significance of faith and our shared humanity. By upholding the teachings of Prophet Muhammad (SAW), we cultivate righteousness, generosity, self-discipline, and compassion, values that should remain the guiding principles in our daily lives.

As we celebrate, I urge all Kogites to continue embracing these virtues while fostering peace, unity, and inclusivity in our communities. Let us transcend religious, ethnic, and political divides, recognizing that our collective strength lies in the rich diversity bestowed upon us by Almighty Allah.

May the spirit of Ramadan continue to inspire us towards greater heights, and may the blessings of this sacred period usher in new opportunities for growth and transformation in our lives. Ameen.

Congratulations and Eid Mubarak!

Signed
Comrade Joel Salifu
