Kidnapped Bauchi Ruler, Alhaji Badamasi, Found Dead

Alhaji Garba Badamasi, the village chief of Riruwai in Lame District of Bauchi Emirate in Toro Local Government Area of Bauchi State, was assassinated.

Daily Trust learned that on Friday, March 15, 2024, gunmen broke into the village and abducted the head of the community.

The shooters entered the deceased’s palace right away, according to an unnamed source, and kidnapped him there.

It was reported that the dead had been held captive for a day prior to his death and the disposal of his body throughout the community.

Those who had started a search and rescue mission later found the body.

On Sunday, his remains was taken to the palace for funeral rites and a burial.
