KANO MUNICIPAL WARD DEVELOPMENT COMMITTEES HONOUR KSCHMA ES FOR EXEMPLARY SERVICE

The Executive Secretary, the Kano State Contributory Healthcare Management Agency (KSCHMA), Dr. Rahila Aliyu Muktar has been honoured by the Ward Development Committees (WDCs) of Kano Municipal for her outstanding dedication to strengthening healthcare service delivery at the grassroots level.
During a brief but significant ceremony held at the Executive Secretary’s office, the WDCs—under the leadership of Alhaji Tijjani Yawale Sheshe, Forum Chairman Kano Municipal WDCs—commended Dr. Muktar for her visionary leadership, unwavering commitment, and continued support to ward-level healthcare structures across the state. The honour, presented in the form of a plaque, symbolises community appreciation for KSCHMA’s inclusive approach to health governance.
Speaking at the event, Alhaji Yawale Sheshe and other WDC representatives praised Dr. Muktar for her active role in empowering community health stakeholders and ensuring that WDCs remain integral partners in the implementation of the state health contributory scheme. They highlighted her efforts in capacity building, transparency, and community mobilization as key factors in improving healthcare access and participation.
In her remarks, Dr. Rahila Aliyu Muktar expressed heartfelt gratitude for the recognition, stating:
“This honour belongs to the entire KSCHMA team and all our partners at the community level. Our mission remains to build a healthcare system that works for everyone, especially the most vulnerable. We will continue to strengthen our collaboration with WDCs and other stakeholders in pursuit of universal health coverage in Kano State.”
The recognition by Kano Municipal WDCs underscores the vital role of community-driven structures in healthcare planning and implementation. It also affirms KSCHMA’s strategic focus on inclusive, transparent, and responsive healthcare delivery systems.
