Kaduna South: Terrorists Kidnap 87 In Fresh Kaduna Attack

Following a new attack on the Kajuru-Station village in Kajuru Local Government Area, Kaduna State, terrorists on Sunday night abducted 87 individuals.

On Monday in Kaduna, Harisu Dari, a member of the Kajuru-Station Youths, verified the incidence to our correspondent.

According to Harisu, the terrorists also broke into a few stores and took goods like food.

By 10 p.m., he added, they broke inside the settlement.

The attack happened just two days after a man and fifteen women were kidnapped in the same local government’s Dogon-Noma neighbourhood.

Tension in the state has arisen as a result of Kajuru and Chikun LGs becoming the epicentre of kidnapping during the last two weeks.

According to Harisu, there has been no communication made with the 87 residents who were kidnapped on Sunday night.

“At the time I went to the hamlet this morning, security personnel had not been called in to assist in regaining the residents’ trust.

The depressing development has traumatised the residents. In order to combat these terrorists, the government must rethink its approach,” he declared.

According to PUNCH Online, the militants had taken over 172 locals hostage in just two weeks.

As of the time this report was filed, our correspondent had not received a response from ASP Mansir Hassan, the state police public relations officer, to either of the calls or texts.
