A statement from security analyst and counter-insurgency expert Zagazola Makama regarding the Lake Chad region indicates that the terrorist group has released images depicting the summary execution of a traditional leader, highlighting the brutality of the act.

Zagazola reported: “The Islamic State in West Africa Province (ISWAP) has executed the village head of Malam Boulamari, a locality located between Mainé Soroa and Chetimari in Niger’s Diffa region.”
