INEC Uploads Over 76% of Results from Edo Gubernatorial Election

Benin City, Nigeria – The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has successfully uploaded more than 76 percent of the results from the Edo State gubernatorial election on its Result Viewing Portal (IREV).

The election, held across all 18 local government areas of Edo State on Saturday, saw voters turn out in large numbers to elect a successor to Governor Godwin Obaseki.

As of the time of this report, checks from INEC’s IREV portal indicate that 76.26 percent of the results have been uploaded. This figure accounts for 3,329 polling units out of the 4,519 units across the state.

Voters and political parties are eagerly awaiting the final tally as the process continues toward its conclusion.
