House of Representatives Directs NERC Regarding Increase in Electricity Tariff

The National Electricity Regulatory Commission (NERC) has received a directive from the House of Representatives not to grant Discos’ request for an increase in electricity rates.

According to Lagos Reporters, the Green Chambers approved the motion on Thursday during a plenary session.

A proposal proposed by Sani Madaki, a Kano State-based member of the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP), was adopted after the resolution was passed.
