Lawal Akus, representing the Ankpa1 State Constituency at the Kogi State House of Assembly, has awarded scholarships to students of the Kogi State College of Education (KSCOE), Ankpa. This generous gesture was announced during the college’s matriculation ceremony, highlighting Hon. Akus’s dedication to making education accessible to all, especially those from less privileged backgrounds within his constituency.
Understanding education as a transformative and enduring gift to humanity, Hon. Akus fulfilled one of his key campaign promises by providing an initial deposit of five hundred thousand naira (₦500,000) towards a total commitment of four million naira (₦4,000,000). This fund is earmarked for the sponsorship of thirty-four (34) deserving students from the Ankpa1 constituency, offering them a significant opportunity to pursue their academic dreams without financial burden.
In his message to the beneficiaries, Hon.
