He’s a Man of Discipline’ – Akpabio’s Wife Hits Back at Natasha’s Allegations!

Ekaette Akpabio, wife of Senate President Godswill Akpabio, has vehemently denied the sexual harassment allegations made by Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan, the representative for Kogi Central.

In an interview with Arise Television on Friday, Akpoti-Uduaghan accused the Senate President of sexual harassment, claiming that after rejecting his advances, her motions were blocked on the Senate floor. She further alleged that she faced continuous harassment and defamation as a result of her refusal.

However, speaking to journalists at her Abuja residence, Mrs. Akpabio dismissed these claims, labeling them as baseless and the result of “wild imagination.” She highlighted the long-standing cordial relationship between both families, emphasizing that Senator Akpoti-Uduaghan was present at her family’s residence on the date of the alleged incident, December 8, 2023.

“We have always enjoyed a good relationship, even before Senator Natasha’s marriage,” Mrs. Akpabio remarked, asserting that such allegations were unfounded.

Mrs. Akpabio also praised her husband’s reputation, noting his commitment to family values, discipline, and his longstanding support for women’s inclusion in politics. She further emphasized his track record of empowering women long before he became Senate President.

Addressing the gravity of the allegations, Mrs. Akpabio urged women to refrain from spreading false claims, and announced her intention to pursue legal action to seek redress for what she described as defamatory statements.
