Fulani Herdsmen Kill 7 Including 2 Soldiers In Benue [Photos]

Residents of Jato Aka town in Kwande Local Government Area of Benue State have been thrown into panic following an attack by armed men suspected to be Fulani herdsmen.

The attack, which occurred on the afternoon of Tuesday, March 19, resulted in the deaths of seven people, including two security personnel.

According to a source familiar with the incident, the assailants ambushed a team of Nigerian army officers who were on a rescue mission to secure the release of individuals abducted by the herdsmen on the outskirts of the town.

During the ambush, two soldiers were reportedly killed, while several others sustained injuries. One officer remains missing. The injured personnel have been taken to NKST Hospital in Jato Aka for medical treatment.

The attack has heightened tensions in the area, with residents calling on security agencies to take swift action to prevent further violence.
