Extreme Poverty: Declare State of Emergency in Kogi State- Accord Guber Candidate, Jibrin To FG

In a passionate address today, Vice Admiral (Rtrd) Usman Jibrin, the gubernatorial candidate of the Accord for the upcoming Kogi State election, has called upon the Federal Government to declare a state of emergency in Kogi State due to the dire conditions faced by its citizens.

Jibrin’s plea was conveyed through Comrade Samuel Danjuma, his youth spokesperson, who highlighted the overwhelming poverty and despair gripping the people of Kogi State, noting that the situation has reached a critical point, necessitating immediate intervention.

The urgent appeal extends to a request for emergency aid and relief packages to be swiftly dispatched to Kogi State, “providing a lifeline to those struggling in the face of extreme hardship.”

Furthermore, the Ex-Naval Chief proposes the relocation of the Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs to Kogi State to address the escalating humanitarian crisis. This strategic move, he said, aims to expedite relief efforts and ensure a more responsive approach to meet the needs of the affected population.

He said he and the party Accord are resolute in their commitment to restore hope, alleviate suffering, and build a resilient community in the State.

This call for a state of emergency by Jibrin who is one of the leading candidates in the forthcoming election underscores the gravity of the situation in Kogi and raises crucial questions about the federal government’s response to the pressing needs of its citizens.

The statement reads in part, “In an impassioned plea, Admiral JIBRIN USMAN, the esteemed gubernatorial candidate of the Accord Party in the forthcoming election in Kogi State, addressed the pressing concerns of the state through his dedicated youth spokesperson, Comrade Samuel.

“The call extends to an appeal for emergency assistance and palliatives to be swiftly dispatched to Kogi State, offering a lifeline to those grappling with the harsh realities of their circumstances.

“Furthermore, Jibrin Usman advocates for the potential relocation of the Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs to Kogi State, recognizing the severity of the humanitarian crisis unfolding within the state. This strategic move would expedite relief efforts and ensure a more responsive approach to meeting the needs of the affected populace.

“Jibrin Usman and the Accord Party stand united in their commitment to restoring hope, alleviating suffering, and fostering a resilient community within Kogi State.”
