#EdoDecides: ‘Na God Get Power’ – Philip Shaibu Dances as APC Leads

Benin City, NigeriaThe Bureau Newspaper reports that Philip Shaibu, the reinstated Deputy Governor of Edo State, was seen in a viral video celebrating the ongoing results of the governorship election in the state.

According to the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), 90.33 percent of the polling unit results have been uploaded to its Result Viewing Portal as of 3 pm. Early reports indicate that Monday Okpebholo, the candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), is leading in most of the polling units announced so far.

The APC’s strong showing has sparked celebrations among the ruling party’s supporters, including Philip Shaibu. In the viral video shared on X, Shaibu was seen mocking the opposition, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), by saying, “Na God get power.”

The Edo State governorship election results are still being collated, but the celebration within APC circles has already begun as the party inches closer to victory.
