Convert Your Dollars, Pounds & Euros To Naira Before Dangote Refinery Starts – Omokri To Nigeria

Omokri clarified that once the Dangote refinery starts up, the value of the Naira relative to the US dollar would increase.

He hinted that if the Dangote refinery in Nigeria starts up, petroleum imports would end.

“If you bet against the Naira because of the evil ₦2000 to $1 prophecy, just face it that you have lost the money you intended to make by economically exploiting Nigeria,” the former presidential adviser wrote in a post on X.

“However, you would lose much more if you wait until Dangote Refinery begins supplying all of the petroleum products that Nigeria needs, such as Premium Motor Spirit, Diesel, and Aviation Jet A1 gasoline.

“The Naira will appreciate even more after Nigeria ceases importing fuel.”

“Total your losses. Change your dollar to naira now, or get ready to yell in May 2024 when Dangote Refinery will be dumping cheap petroleum goods on the market. #GrowNairaBuyNaija

According to sources who spoke with Reuters on Tuesday, the petrol items are aviation jet fuel and diesel.

According to Abubakar Maigandi, the head of the Independent Petroleum Marketers Association of Nigeria, local oil marketers first get a bulk purchase deal and fix the price of diesel at N1,225 ($0.96) per litre before adding their markup.

According to Maigandi, the association’s members own or operate over 150,000 retail outlets throughout Nigeria.
