Civil Service Reform: Peter Obi Commends Tinubu

Politician Peter Obi emphasized that being part of the opposition does not justify unfounded and reckless criticisms.

He expressed this viewpoint via his X account today, supporting the Federal Government’s decision to execute the Oronsaye report.

On Monday, February 26, President Tinubu directed the comprehensive enforcement of the report, leading to the elimination, consolidation, and reassignment of certain agencies.

Obi, in his X post, mentioned that he had previously declared during the 2023 election campaign his intention to carry out the report’s recommendations if he were elected. He further suggested that the Federal Government should also aim to reduce the expenses associated with governance.
