The President Bola Tinubu-led Nigerian government has announced the opening of an application portal for Nigerians who want to convert their vehicles from Premium Motor Spirit, Popularly known as fuel to Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) to make payment.

 

In a statement issued on Wednesday by the National Orientation Agency (NOA) on the opening of the payment plan application portal, the government said that the payment options allow people to convert their vehicles now and pay later with affordable monthly installments at competitive rates.

 

Titled, “Payment plan to make it easier to switch to CNG” the short statement read, “Switching to Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) is now more accessible than ever.

 

“With flexible payment plans tailored to fit your budget, transitioning from petrol to CNG has never been smoother or more affordable.

 

“These payment options allow you to convert your vehicle now and pay later with affordable monthly installments at competitive rates.”

 

According to the application process, “With an easy online application and quick approval process, you’ll receive support every step of the way to ensure a hassle-free experience.”

 

Interested people are directed to visit: gocng.ng to get started, and that the benefits of CNG include: “Cost Savings, Environmental Impact, Enhanced Engine Life, Safety and Reliability, Proven technology with a track record of safety and dependable performance.

 

“Don’t wait—apply now at gocng.ng to convert your vehicle to CNG using an installment payment plan!, the statement advised.

 

The Bureau Newspaper had reported that the Nigerian Government launched a free CNG conversion programme for vehicles at six designated locations across Lagos State.

 

The initiative, facilitated by the Presidential Compressed Natural Gas Initiative (PCNGi), aims to provide a cost-effective alternative to petrol for vehicle owners.
