A couple and another individual involved in a “one chance” heist have been captured by police operators from the Utako Police Divisional Headquarters.
The trio, who were all residents of Akaraka Gwagwa, Federal Capital territory (FCT), was made up of 51-year-old male Chukwudi Okorie, 43-year-old female Chibuzor Okorie, who was married to her husband, and 38-year-old Esther Gabriel. The three were detained in relation to a string of robberies, especially “one chance” incidents that occurred within the FCT and its surroundings.
The FCT Police Public Relations Officer, SP Josephine Adeh, released the following statement on Thursday: “The suspects admitted during questioning that they had engaged in a number of ‘one chance’-related operations in the FCT prior to their capture.
One of the suspects turned up with a blue Mazda car with the registration number FCT 590 EV, which was an operating vehicle used by the group to carry out their horrific deeds.
The Spokesperson continued, “The Commissioner of Police, CP Haruna G. Garba, wishes to reiterate his unwavering commitment to ensuring FCT remain a safe and peaceful place for residents to stay without fair from any quarter of the Territory,” even though the investigation to find other accomplices is still ongoing.
