BREAKING: NaijaDailyNews Publisher, Nwabueze Onyekachi, Reportedly Abducted In Abia By Gunmen Suspected To Be Security Operatives

The publisher of news outlet NaijaDailyNews247, Success Nwabueze Onyekachi, has been reportedly abducted from his office in Abia State.

Onyekachi is a former Special Adviser to ex-Abia State Governor on Social Media.

The Bureau Newspaper learnt that Onyekachi was ‘abducted’ from his office in Umuahia by yet-to-be identified persons.

It was gathered that one of those who took Onyekachi away claimed to be an official of the Department of State Services (DSS), although the security agency has yet to react to the development.

His family and friends were also said to be unable to reach him following the ‘abduction’

The development has led to reactions by his friends and associates on social media platforms.

On Facebook, Jude Chijioke Ndukwe, while commenting on the development, said, “It is despotic and tyrannical to make a citizen disappear without a trace in Abia. What is Abia State turning into? Where is Onyekachi Nwabueze?”

Another Facebook user, Ikechukwu Kelvin, also commented on the development and called for Onyekachi’s release.

When The Bureau Newspaper checked Onyekachi’s Facebook profile, his last post was made on October 29.

His last post bordered on unknown gunmen. He shared a post and noted that even the Anambra State governor, Charles Soludo, was “scared of unknown gunmen”

“Prof hide your head ooo” he posted.

It is unclear if this is anyway connected to his arrest or abduction as detailed behind were sketchy as of the time of filing this report.

When contacted, the Public Relations Officer of the Abia State Police Command, Chinaka Maureen, told The Bureau Newspaper that she did not have any information on the issue.

“I don’t have any information on this as of now, however, the affected persons can report the case to the nearest police station for action,” she said.
