Yenagoa, Bayelsa State – In a dazzling display of beauty, talent, and empowerment, Hassana Ozohu Salisu, hailing from Okene in Kogi State, has been crowned Miss Nollywood International 2024/2025. Salisu triumphed over 18 contestants from across Nigeria to emerge as the reigning queen, securing her place among the top nine, five finalists, and four runners-up, with one crown and one winner.
Crowned Miss Hassana
Representing the beautiful people of Kogi State, Salisu made the journey from Abuja to Bayelsa for this prestigious competition. Born on November 24, 1998, she is currently pursuing her studies at Mustapha Agwai Polytechnic while making significant strides in both academic and professional spheres. Her qualifications include a certificate from the Chartered Institute of Procurement Studies (2021–2023), a diploma in Filmmaking from Mina Film Academy, and a certification in Transitional Film Projects from Bournemouth University, London, which she completed in 2023. She is also furthering her education in journalism.

Salisu, the firstborn in a family of six from the Salisu Ajoges family, exemplifies not only grace but also a commitment to her community and industry. She is the founder of the Sallhassy Empowerment Foundation, which has launched two impactful humanitarian projects. In addition, she leads Sallhassy Empire Entertainment, where she manages over 130 actors, reflecting her dedication to fostering talent in the film industry.
Throughout the pageant, Salisu’s responses to key questions showcased her passion for Nollywood and her determination to drive positive change. Her vision for collaboration and support for her community highlighted her commitment to giving back and inspiring future generations.

Now in its 11th edition, the Miss Nollywood International pageant is one of Nigeria’s most prestigious beauty competitions. The event, organized by renowned industry professional and content creator Mr. Barakumo Odede, is celebrated for elevating queens and nurturing talent in Bayelsa State. Notably, Salisu also serves as the chairperson of the Northern Filmmakers Association of Nigeria, Abuja chapter, adding yet another feather to her cap.
