Bishop Oyedepo: I’ve Never Taken a Salary from Covenant University

Ota, Nigeria – Bishop David Oyedepo, the Chancellor of Covenant University and founder of Living Faith Church, revealed during the institution’s 19th convocation on Friday that he has not received any wages since the university’s inception.

Addressing the graduating students, Oyedepo emphasized that the success stories and personal growth of the students have been his true rewards. He expressed his deep pride in the graduates, particularly their contributions to sectors like aviation, fashion, banking, and ICT.

“I said this before God. I have not earned any wages from Covenant University since its inception. Your testimonies of success and breakthroughs in different fields of endeavour have been my earnings and wages,” he declared.

Encouraging the graduates to be contributors to society, Oyedepo added, “You are created to be a contributor. Find a place to contribute. You cannot be a contributor and be a failure. You will be part of the solution and not those who are problems.”

At the convocation, Covenant University conferred first and higher degrees to 1,607 graduates and presented prizes to outstanding achievers.
