German-American billionaire Karl-Erivan Haub, who was previously thought to have perished during a hike in the Alps and was declared legally dead three years ago, has reportedly been found alive in Moscow. Sources claim that Haub is living with a Russian woman named Veronika Ermilova, who is believed to be his mistress, as reported by Metro.
Haub, who was 58 at the time of his disappearance, was last seen preparing for a ski mountaineering race near Switzerland’s Matterhorn mountain. After his disappearance, search teams were unable to locate his body, which eventually led to him being declared legally dead in 2021.
However, new reports from German broadcaster RTL suggest that Haub is not only alive but has been residing in Moscow. The investigation revealed that he had extensive phone communications with Ermilova just before he vanished, including one call that lasted more than an hour, sparking theories that his disappearance might have been premeditated.
Ermilova, who runs an event agency in St. Petersburg known for organizing outdoor excursions, has also been rumored to have connections with the Russian FSB security service, although these allegations have not been confirmed. The investigation pointed out several occasions where Haub and Ermilova were reportedly in the same cities at the same time, further suggesting a close relationship between the two.
