According to Daily Trust, bandits have resumed their raids in Federal Capital Territory (FCT) and Kaduna, killing a community leader and kidnapping many family members.
In the first incidence, the attackers kidnapped 13 family members in Kachia LGA, Kaduna State, on Wednesday night and shot and killed Mr. Philibus Andrew, a Mai Anguwa from the Gashe community.
Musa Bala, a resident, informed our reporter over the phone yesterday that the event occurred at approximately 11 p.m., and that the bandits were armed with modern weapons and in huge numbers.
He added that the bandits also broke into stores and pharmacies after attacking and killing the community leader. They then went to a neighbor’s house and abducted Mr. Abraham Dangana, his wife, eight children, and three relatives.
In Kaduna, after three weeks of captivity, bandits kill five prisoners and free fifty-one others.

He claimed that on the same day, the bandits also broke into the nearby town of Badeko and kidnapped ten people.
“You can imagine that there are security operatives stationed at Bishini Junction, Katari, and Nasarawa LEA Primary School, yet the bandits operated for hours without any response from them,” stated a community leader who wished to remain anonymous.
SP Hassan Mansur, the spokesperson for the Kaduna State Police Command, remained silent over the incident.
