Baby Passes Away from Burns as Mother Dozes Off During Warming Attempt

A six-week-old baby has tragically lost his life after his intoxicated mother attempted to warm him up with a hair dryer but fell asleep in the process.

The mother, 32-year-old Morgan Alyson Creel, has been charged with second-degree murder following the incident.

According to reports, Creel woke up the next morning to find her baby unresponsive and immediately called emergency services. However, despite efforts to revive the infant, authorities pronounced him dead at the scene.

When questioned, Creel admitted that she had used a hair dryer to keep her baby warm but fell asleep while it was still on.

Authorities who arrived at the scene also discovered a marijuana smoking apparatus on the back porch.

Investigators believe Creel was under the influence of a controlled substance at the time, leading to her arrest.

According to the indictment, Creel caused “cruel and excessive physical and mental pain” to her child by leaving a blow-dryer on near the baby while being intoxicated and passed out.

The heartbreaking incident has sparked outrage, with authorities urging parents to exercise extreme caution and avoid substance use while caring for infants.
