Last night, members of the Nigerian joint security forces killed the infamous bandit leader “Baƙo-baʙo” and his henchmen in the Batsari forest in Katsina State’s Batsari Local Government Area.
The Nigerian Army, police, NSCDC, Nigeria Security and Civil Defense Corps, and local vigilante group CWC all participated in the activities.
Security services had long targeted Baƙo-baƙo, a notorious bandit leader who terrorized several areas in Katsina State with brutal attacks and kidnappings.
His passing is seen as a significant victory in the local fight against banditry.
“This is a significant win for our community,” remarked a local community leader. We appreciate the security forces’ sacrifices and efforts to maintain calm in our area.
