Anti-Graft Agency EFCC Budgets N500million For Office Furniture, Fittings Purchase In 2025

Details on the published Nigerian government’s 2025 budget proposal has shown that one of its anti-corruption agencies, the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) plans to spend N500million for purchase of office furniture and fittings in the 2025 fiscal year.

Other expenditures listed by the EFCC includes N46million for the maintenance of  office furniture, N266million for the maintenance of motor vehicles/transport equipment.

 

The EFCC also plans a sum of N462 million for refreshment and meals, N1.1billion is budgeted to be spent on construction/provision of office building.

Details show that purchase of office furniture  and fittings, tables, chairs,visitor chairs, air conditioners, ,for new zonal offices in Ekiti, Anambra and Katsina.

The 2025 budget of the country has come under scrutiny.

There are concerns on prudence in the management of resources by Nigerian government especially given complaints on scarce resources.

Already, the country plans to spend N15.8trillion on debt servicing in 2025.
