Two-time world heavyweight champion, Anthony Joshua has visited President Bola Tinubu at his Lagos residence.
The British-Nigerian boxer also presented an autograph glove to the President, signed “To the Great Asiwaju Jagaban Borgu of Africa, Bola A Tinubu.”
This was seen via images by the Special Assistant to the President on Social Media, Dada Olusegun, on Wednesday, January 1.
The caption reads: “Champ #anthonyjoshua pays Homage to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu at his residence in Lagos. Presents him with his autographed glove.”
The Bureau Newspaper reported that Governor Dapo Abiodun of Ogun state two days ago announced plans by his administration to construct a brand new Anthony Joshua Indoor Boxing Ring in the state.
Abiodun also announced that the two-time former world heavyweight boxing champion would be lighting the Gateway Games National Sports Festival torch, which has been postponed till May next year.
The governor made this known on Monday when he hosted the boxer in his office in Abeokuta, the state capital.
