Amaechi Dedicates Award to Wike for Completing Rivers State University Medical College

Former Minister of Transportation, Rt. Hon. Chibuike Amaechi, has dedicated an award to the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Barr. Nyesom Wike, for ensuring the completion of the College of Medical Sciences at Rivers State University (RSU) during his tenure as governor.

Amaechi, who initiated the project while serving as Governor of Rivers State, was unable to complete it before leaving office in 2015. However, Wike’s administration continued the project, leading to the matriculation of the first set of medical students in 2018.

Speaking in Port Harcourt on Thursday, Amaechi acknowledged Wike’s role in seeing the project through, expressing appreciation for the continuity in governance that led to its successful completion.
