The police have uncovered a stash of 350 AK-47 ammunition at a poultry farm located on the Sabon-Wuse-Garam road in Tafa Local Government Area of Niger State, a route that connects to Bwari town in the Federal Capital Territory. According to reports from City & Crime, the discovery led to the arrest of four individuals, including the farm’s manager, two employees, and a visitor, during a meticulous operation conducted at the site.
A member of the local vigilante group informed our correspondent that the exact purpose of the stockpiled ammunition remains uncertain, raising questions about whether they were intended to support bandit activities within the region or were being prepared for transport to a different location.
Efforts to gain further insights into the case saw DSP Wasiu Abiodun, the police spokesperson for Niger State, being contacted. He indicated that an update regarding the investigation and the circumstances surrounding the ammunition’s presence at the poultry farm would be provided in due course.
