The National Agency for Food and Drug Administration and Control (NAFDAC) announced on Saturday that it is initiating an investigation into the reported transformation of polyethylene (rubber) into edible oil. This information was conveyed in a statement by Mr. Tayo Akintola, the Resident Media Consultant for NAFDAC.
The decision to investigate comes in response to a viral social media report highlighting the alleged conversion of polyethylene into edible oil.
